Get a simplified design with all the skate functionality you need in the Nike SB BLZR Court. This retro-inspired tennis design pays direct tribute to the Blazer silhouette-and does it justice at that. Nike designers went with a 'less is more' style approach and the result is a very skateable shoe at an incredibly affordable price.
Nike SB BLZR Court

Deconstructed Canvas Upper - I had my hesitations about skating a canvas shoe because I wasn't sure it would hold up to the abuse of skateboarding. After skating nothing but suede for so long any other material seems frail. However, there were some serious benefits including a quicker break in period and overall comfort. Yes, I did end up wearing through some parts quicker than usual but it's nothing a bit of shoe goo can't fix.

Rubber Ollie Pad - I think adding this feature was a no brainer and drastically increases the overall life of this shoe. Another feature that I like is the rubber toe cap which is underneath the canvas. I didn't end up wearing through that part of the shoe during my week and a half of skating them but I am sure I will put the rubber toe cap to use as I keep skating these.

Classic Blazer Sole - I said it before and I will say it again, this is my favorite sole for skateboarding. It stays grippy even when the rest of the shoe gets beat up. There is a speckled pattern to it which makes me think it is made up of around 3-5% Nike Grind material but don't quote me on that.

Synthetic Leather Detailing - The swoosh and heel tab feature synthetic leather for a slightly classier style which elevates the aesthetic of this model.

Summary - I typically skate thicker shoes with more impact protection and beef to them. However, changing it up to skate the BLZR Court was fun! I found them to be best for low-impact skating and they felt great for flat-ground because they deliver top-notch boardfeel. Yes they look a bit beat up here but wouldn't all skate shoes after ten sessions? After all, no skate shoe is going to last forever and I believe the BLZR Court overdelivers for the price point of $65.
