The Nike Blazer made its debut on the basketball court in 1972. This was nine years after Blue Ribbon Sports was formed and just one year after the company adopted the Nike name. Although skaters such as Neil Blender adopted the Blazer Mid for skateboarding in the '80s, it wasn't officially integrated into the skate world until 2005 when Lance Mountain rallied behind it as his go-to choice in footwear. Today it is worn by top professionals such as Mason Silva, Oskar Rozenburg-Hallberg, and of course, it remains a favorite for Lance. Check out the full review and wear test below!
Nike SB Blazer Mid Features

Vulcanized Construction - The slightly slimmer styling allows for a faster break in period and it increases board feel on your foot. This feels way more heavy-duty than other brand vulcanized shoes I have skated in the past. Break in time for me is typically two sessions.

Herringbone Midsole - Taping around the midsole of the shoes is finished off with a herringbone texture for additional grip and flick. The toe area features double taping for extra durability in that high wear area.

Mid Top Cut - Extra ankle support comes standard in the Nike SB Blazer Mid. I consider it a skateable boot offering maximum support without sacrificing mobility in your ankle.

Sole Tread Pattern - All the grip you need in the right spot. You get that new shoe squeak of the sole when you are sliding down a transition well after this shoe has been broken in.

Zoom Air Unit - Don't be fooled by the simplistic look. The Zoom Air Unit in the heel provides ample shock protection. But as I always say, if these don't cut it for you there is always the option to throw another pair of insoles in these shoes.
